Mrs. Gray was born September 21, 1942 in Hiram, Georgia to Mr. Robert Edward Lee Croker and Mrs. Effie Lee Fannin Croker. She was married to Mr. William Ernest Gray. She worked in the Meat Department for Kroger Food Stores. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by: Son, Mr. Paul Eugene Carter, III; Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edward Lee (Effie Lee Fannin) Croker; Brother, Mr. David Croker.
She is survived by: Daughter, Mrs. Chris Newbern (Stacy); Step Daughters, Mrs. Tammy Johnson (Randy), Vicky Lollis, Kristy Hulen; Step Son, Mr. Scott Gray (Adrienne); Grandchildren, Brandon (Jessica) Elrod, Michael (Taylor) Elrod, Amy (Cody) Carr, Brad (Chelsey) Sweet, Tyler King, and Austin King; Great Grandchildren, Owen Samanie-Elrod, Charlie Elrod, Blakely Voyles, Mason Stanley, Andrew Stanley, Landon Stanley, Bailey Carr, Chloe Carr, Knox King and Kalynne Gray; Sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Hayes and Mrs. Loretta Walker.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Joan Croker Gray will be held Friday, June 13, 2025, 2;00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home. Pastor Jody Cole will officiate.
Visitation for Mrs. Gray will be held Friday, June 13, 2025, 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
