Joan Keevins Obituary
Joan worked as a medical transcriptionist until her retirement in 2014. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading, tennis, bridge, cooking, beach vacations and spending time with her grandchildren. Joan will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Keevins; two children, Sharon (Jim) Cunningham and Ray (Julie) Keevins; and brother, James (Gerry) McCullough. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Erin and Megan Cunningham, and Logan and Luke Keevins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ethel McCullough.
Services will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Richmond, Va. on July 31, at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sentara Hospital Hospice www.supportrmh.org/give-your-way/honor-or-remember-someone/.

When we were younger there was a clique of 2 boys and 4 girls. Joanne, Cathy, Kathy, Lucille, Leonard, and Donald. I was closer with Joanne and Cathy whom helped me a lot over the years. I understand your loss as I lost mine of 50 years. My condolences to the family.

Ray, you had so many wonderful years with a wonderful woman. My best memory is walking to school each day through highschool and sometimes bumming a ride from Buddy Romaine. We also had a good time in 8th grade on Washington D.C. trip. We shared a room on that trip. We enjoyed sharing our birthdays on the same date. I really appreciated your telephone call. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Cathy and Hoot Gibson.
