Joan Knott, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born on July 10, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter to the late Gerald Stanley, Sr. and Alverna (Hampton) Stanley.
She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Krista Bishop of Katy, Texas, and her son, Tom Knott, and wife, Kim of Park Hills, Missouri. Joan took immense pride in being a loving grandmother, often being her grandchildren's number one fan. She cherished spending time with Morgan Auck and her husband Nick of St. Louis, Macie Arnold and her husband Garrett of Mineral Point, Samantha and Reagan Bishop of Katy, TX. Joan's legacy of love and support for her family will endure through the lives she influenced. Joan is also survived by her brother, Gerald "Jerry" Stanley, Jr. of Bonne Terre, Missouri, and many other relatives and friends who were fortunate to have known her warmth and kindness.
Joan had a passion for reading and she treasured the moments spent with family and friends at the lake. These interests were more than hobbies; they were a testament to her love for life's beauty and the relationships she valued deeply.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jill Stewart. Despite the sorrow of her passing, Joan's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Joan lived her life with a vibrant spirit that touched everyone around her. She was known for always having a smile on her face and a genuine love for fun. Her cheerful demeanor and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
