Joan K. Krafjack, 86, of Clarks Summit, died on Saturday, in Allied Services Hospice Center.
Born June 15, 1938 in Scranton, Joan was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Pankevich) Rogers. She was the wife of the late Dwayne “Dewey” K. Krafjack, Sr., who died unexpectedly in 1996.
Joan graduated from Scranton Tech and worked for various companies such as ICS and RCA Thompson.
Joan was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Snows Church and enjoyed volunteering at the Country Bazaar. She also enjoyed helping with and attending the S. Abington Lions events when her husband was living. Each election year Joan volunteered her time working the polls and appreciated seeing and interacting with her neighbors.
Surviving is one son: Dwayne “Dewey” Krafjack, Jr., (Sandy) of Clarks Summit, one daughter: Christine Brayer (Rick) of Clarks Summit, a granddaughter, Mallory Brayer, sister, Mary Ann O’Hara, brother, Brother Joseph Rogers, C.P., several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Marlene McMorran.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday at 9:30am at Our Lady of the Snows Church 301 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated. Interment, Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly Township. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday from 8:30- 9 a.m. at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc., 111 Colburn Avenue, Clarks Summit.
