Joan LaDuke Obituary
Joann later moved to Michigan, where she was the loving wife to Ron LaDuke for 38 years. She had a long career working for the Sterling Heights Police Department, where she ultimately retired from. In retirement, she found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved and being present for her children and grandchildren. Her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Eva Novak; her brother, Adam Novak; and her son, Paul Mezser.
Joann is survived by her husband, Ron LaDuke; sister, Mary Ann (Robert) Long; son, David (Lenora) Mezser; daughter, Debbie Mezser; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Mezser; cherished granddaughters, Breanne (Jesse) Cucuro, Kristen Mezser, Nicole Mezser, Ryann Mezser, and Audrey Mezser; and great-granddaughter Raelynn Cucuro.
Joann will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her kindness, devotion to family, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life.
Visitation Thursday 3-8pm. Funeral Friday 10:00am at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. (SHELBY TOWNSHIP). Donations are welcome to the Alzheimer's Association. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Share memories with the family at their "On Line Guest Book" @ WujekCalcaterra.com.
