Joan Lucas

John and Joan, were the best in-laws a gal could ever have hoped for! They loved and encouraged me, and were always there with a listening ear. Joan ("Mom") spent many hours in my home, helping me around the house when my health was poor, especially when Beth and Johnny were young. She always had more energy than me, and when she was younger, Clive and I would often comment that she could dance circles around me! As she got a bit older, she slow down, but she could generally still out work me! Mom only ever gave me unsolicited advice on perhaps three occasions, and each time, even though the advice was given quite pleasantly, it was always followed quickly by, " I´m sorry, it´s none of my business!"
I always knew however, that if I needed advice, she was always there to listen to my heart. I will miss you Mom, and I look forward to celebrating with you upon my arrival in heaven!, probably with a lively dance!
