Joan Mary Lynch

Joan Mary Lynch (nee Donnelly), age 79, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2022, surrounded by her family. Joan was born in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls. She lived in Aston for 36 years, Garnet Valley for 16 years and recently moved to their summer home in Cape May, NJ. Joan was employed by Neumann University for 20 years, the Scott Waterman Law Office and enjoyed her time as a beach tagger for the City of Cape May. Joan enjoyed her time spent in Cape May going for walks on the promenade and to happy hour at the Grand Hotel. Her other interests included going to the movies, doing crossword puzzles, morning coffee with friends, and attending her grandchildren’s sports and activities. Joan was the daughter of the late William and Helen Donnelly and sister of the late Billy Donnelly. She is re-united with her daughter Jill (Lynch) Lattanzio who recently passed away on November 13, 2021. Survivors: Her loving husband of 52 years, John “Benny” Lynch, devoted daughter Jackie Purfield and her husband Kevin and their children: Casey, Shannon, Brendan and Riley Purfield, her son, Bill Lynch, her son-in-law, Matthew Lattanzio and his daughters, Lillian and Lanie Lattanzio.
