Joan MacLeish Obituary
Joan was born on January 16, 1965 in Marion, Indiana to the late Val (Bennett) MacLeish and James Archibald MacLeish III. Joan was a loving aunt, daughter and big sister. Music was her joy in life and she loved to teach piano lessons. Playing worship music at Brighton Assembly of God is the place Joan felt most at home.
Surviving Joan are her siblings James (Cindi) MacLeish IV, and (Tadd) Jill Lewis. Nieces and nephews Erin MacLeish, Rachel MacLeish, James MacLeish V, Tyler MacLeish and Alexi Lewis. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Jim & Val MacLeish; her sister Janis MacLeish, and Niece Tara Lewis.
A service to celebrate Joan's life will be held at 12:00pm with visitation beginning at 11:00am until time of the service on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Watkins Brother's Funeral Home, MacDonald Chapel, 315 N. Michigan Ave., Howell, MI.
