Joan Morehouse Obituary
She will be dearly missed by her beloved Terry; daughters Kristina (John) Madigan, Shelly, and Amy (Lance) Abrahamson; grandchildren Emily Jo, Erik, Carly (Josiah), Hayley, Tyler, Jordan (Molly), Riley and Niklas; sister Mary (Dr. Richard) Strand. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 11, 12 Noon, with a gathering of family and friends one hour before at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church (West Campus), 7150 Rolling Acres Road, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Lutheran World Relief, Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church or charity of your choice.
Joan was a proud graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College. She graduated from the nursing program and was a public health nurse for many years in Sherburne County. She adored children and loved her own deeply. She was an incredible mother, wife, sister, and grandmother. Her life was rich because of her family and we were rich because of her.
Her gifts were many. You may see her legacy in countless hand knit baby sweaters, hats, afghans and especially socks on countless feet around the country and around the world. She had a quick wit and fantastic sense of humor, and an uncanny ability to mimic both a seal and a rooster, as well as bust into the hallelujah chorus. She had us laughing until her last days.
She loved deeply and eternally. We are heartbroken that she is gone, and filled fully with her love.
