Obituary of Joan M. (Beecher) Osatchuck

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Joan Beecher Osatchuck, age 78,

of Horseheads, NY. Joan was born on September 7, 1947, to the late Mark and Encia

Beecher of clearwater Florida, and was a proud graduate of Corning East High School.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years, Michael Osatchuck Jr., her

sister Jaqueline (Beecher) Morris, and brother Eugene Beecher.

Joan is survived by her twin sons, Michael Osatchuck III of Pocatello, Idaho, and Mark

(Shierlyn) Osatchuck of Horseheads, NY; brothers Jerold (Patricia) Beecher of Painted

Post, NY; Kenneth (Nancy) Beecher of Pasadena Maryland; and sister Beverly

(Beecher) Madorsky of Horseheads.

She was also a proud grandmother to seven wonderful grandchildren - Ashley (Chris)

Henry, Nathan Osatchuck, Carly (Jayden) Peterson, Rebecca Osatchuck, Macy

Osatchuck, McKenna Osatchuck and Connie Osatchuck. Also, five great-grandchildren

Tiffany Henry, Gage Kennedy, Trystan Henry, Leilani Henry, and Jackson Peterson. Her

grandkids were truly her whole world.

Joan worked for many years as a Nurse's Aide at Schuyler Hospital, where she cared

for others with the same compassion she gave her family. She loved crocheting and

made many beautiful blankets and Christmas stockings over the years. She also

enjoyed going for walks and watching NASCAR.

Joan was the kindest, most caring person - a strong woman who dedicated her life to

her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and

friend. Those who knew her were blessed by her gentle heart and warm smile.

She is now reunited with our Dad Mike, and we find peace knowing they are together

again.

Family and friends are invited to Calling Hours at Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads NY on Monday, October 20th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. There will be no formal funeral service, and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
