At our family picnics, Joanie would laugh, smile, and share stories of the grandparents that I did not know. I hope that you are at peace! May your family remember your kindness and caring.

I have fond memories of your mom. When I was a young child we lived a couple houses down on 22nd Ave. (Shelley is our cousin). Joan was very nice to us kids and always welcomed everyone. I also remember Chris and Wally Zajensky, (our aunt and uncle), taking us over to their yard and to see the other kids on the street, (the Gerlach's and Pataska's). It was fun to all be together. Sending condolences and sympathy to all. Carla Ruffalo-Smith

Wonderful neighbor over my childhood. Years later, it was nice to stop by when she was out working in her yard and catch up. Several occasions I'd run into at various places when down in Kenosha and as always, have a nice conversation. I'll never forget her and her granddaughter (Tia) attending my wife's baby shower before our first child arrived. Once again, a time to catch up and share stories from the past. Please accept our condolences. Much love to Joan's family.

Joanie was my friend for most of my life. We laughed together, cried together tears of joy and sorrow. Propping each other up when we needed it. The hard things in life Joan took one day at a time. She will always be in my heart. As will her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

I have great memories of the Pavlovich family from my childhood. Being a neighbor, I played in Mrs. Pavlovichs' yard, swam in her pool, fished and camped with her family, she always made me feel welcome. Years later I would run into her while shopping at Piggly Wiggly on 22nd, and she would talk as if I was still her neighbor, like time stood still.

Many condolences to the family. Although it's been many years since we left Kenosha, I remember her well as a great neighbor. She was a wonderful person.
