Joan Petty Obituary
She is survived by her husband, Howard Petty, the love of her life, for 52 years. They faithfully served the Lord side by side, pastoring Logos Christian Center for the last 50 years.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, J. C. and Neva (Cobb) Voyles; her brother, Jack Voyles; son, Butch Petty; and great-grandson, Trent Floyd.
She is survived by her children: David and wife Carol Bradley; Janice and husband Thomas Mitchell; Brian and wife Teresa Bradley; daughter-in-law, Della Petty; and sister-in-law, Linda Voyles. She was loving "JoJo" to her grandchildren: Jason, Robbie, Melanie, Ian, Eric, Matthew, Joshua, Shakera, Ashley, and Joey and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Nevill's Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Joan's memory be made to Logos Christian Center, 804 W. 5th Street, Mount Pleasant, TX 75455.
