It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Joan Pollard, who departed this life peacefully on July 10, 2025 at the age of 84.
Born on February 14, 1941 in Mississippi, Joan lived a life marked by grace, kindness, and quiet strength. Her home was always open, her arms always welcoming, and her love unwavering. Her legacy is one of faith, love, and life’s simple pleasures. She taught us how to pray, how to love deeply, and even how to never pay full price.
Joan was a devoted mother to Bill, Bob, and Ben Pollard, and a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. She instilled in us the values of hard work, compassion, and faith. She is survived by a large and loving family who carry her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of her life will be held on July 15, 2025 at Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with visitation beginning at 3:00 PM, and a service at 5:00 PM. Family and friends are welcome to attend and honor the life of a woman who touched so many.
Please visit Joan's online guestbook at www.sykesfuneralhome.com and share a memory with the family.
