Kenneth Pollard Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by E M Coots' Sons Inc Funeral Home on Dec. 30, 2025.
Kenneth Pollard, 83, of Madison, IN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. Born on March 13, 1942, in Hazard, KY, to the late Chester and Lenora Pollard, Kenny was a man defined by his craftsmanship, his honesty, and his heart. Whether he was casting a line into a quiet fishing hole or enjoying a spirited game of cards with family and friends, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life and the company of those around him.
A skilled professional in auto body and paint, Kenny took pride in his work, but his greatest legacy was family, friends and stories. He was known for his straightforward nature: you never had to wonder where you stood with Kenny. Beneath his plain-spoken exterior was a man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and who always had a store of wise advice ready for those he loved.
Kenny was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Lynn; his sisters Margie Napier; and Ellie Mae, his brothers Carl, Burnis, and Arlie Pollard, his grandson Christopher Plowman, and his parents.
His memory will be cherished by his previous wife of 31 years, Ollie Pollard; his daughters, Karen (Steve) Clair, Sharon (Jeff) Plowman, and Kimberly (Danny) Harrell; his siblings, Fern (Nolan) Young, Ruth Crawford, Jewell Miller, Coy Pollard, and Roger Pollard; his grandchildren Josh (Rachel) Plowman, Bridgette Harrell, Kenny Harrell, Dakota (Emily) Harrell, Lakenda Pollard, Kadenyce Casey, Kali Casey, Kamyll Casey, Khloe Casey, Alex and Samantha Clair, 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 1-7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at the Funeral Home.
