Joan Beerbower Randel, 93, of Keswick, VA went to be with her Savior on January 10, 2025.
She is survived by her three children: James Scott Carson and his wife Tammy of Rogersville, TN, Laurel Ann Carson of Keswick, VA, and Kevin Christopher Carson and his wife Lisa, of Troy, VA, two beautiful granddaughters, Brittany Carson Flick of Mechanicsville, MD and Ashley Brooke Carson of Dillwyn, VA, two great grandchildren, Caleb Carson Flick and Michaela Virginia Flick, both of Mechanicsville, MD. She is also survived by her loving brother Ralph Forest Beerbower (Tim) and his wife Mona of Parker, CO, and many very special nieces and nephews.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents Ruth Christina Shakespeare Beerbower and Ralph Miller Beerbower, husband John L. Randel, and beloved sister Ruth Emily Beerbower Parrish.
Joan was a woman of faith and a had a strong love for the Lord. She enjoyed keeping photographs of her grandchildren and great grandchildren in the cherished bible she read daily. She was passionate about the arts and enjoyed watercolor painting, jewelry making, beading, and furniture restoration. She loved flowers, gardening, and cats.
A special thank you to all the first responders and caregivers at Sentara Martha Jefferson who provided comfort and care during her final time.
There will not be a service at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA.
