Joan C. Rapp, 83, Pittsville, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville with visitation from 11:30 am until the time of service.
Joan was born on January 19, 1942 in Flatlick, Kentucky to Joseph and Eunice (Ridings) Cravens. She graduated from Knox Central High School in 1961.
Joan was a Kentucky born, stand by your man, proper Southern woman. Joan met Jerry, a Marine, in 1961. Within 4 months they were married and moved to Milwaukee. She took incredible care of her daughters and worked full time. A simple and sweet woman, she never lost her Kentucky roots. Joan was an incredible cook and would take care of anyone. She also loved rummage sales. Joan was married to Gerald "Jerry" Rapp for 63 years until he passed on May 5, 2025.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Gary) Boldt of Raymond/Racine and Diana (Andy) Epperly of Wauwatosa, grandchildren, Adrian (Stacey) Boldt, Monica Boldt, Samantha (Tom) House, Mason Epperly, and Marissa Epperly, and great grandchildren, Adyen, Brooklyn, Bystol, and Lyncoln.
She is further survived by her brother, James (Carol) Cravens of Greys, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Karen Rapp, great granddaughter, Londyn, and sister, Peggy Bruckner.
