Ronald "Mike" M. Chasteen, 75, Pittsville, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Clark County Rehab and Living Center in Owen after a long battle with dementia.

A private family service will be held. Burial will take place at Mound Cemetery, Pittsville at a later date. Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mike was born on January 7, 1951 in Marshfield to Raymond and Delores (Schalla) Chasteen. He graduated from Pittsville High School and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.

Mike spent the majority of his life as part owner of Chasteen Agency Insurance. He also served in the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing - especially musky. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his significant other, Nancy Powell, son, Jonathon (Olivia) Chasteen of Pittsville, daughter, Sydni (Travis) Braun of Marshfield, and grandchildren, Luke, Lily, Matthew, Noah, and Alayna.

He is further survived by his two sisters, Nancy Chasteen and Deborah (Steve Salkowski) Chasteen, brother, Steven (Sandra) Chasteen, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Thomas Chasteen, sister in law, Deborah Chasteen, and nephew, Christopher Chasteen.

The family would like to thank Clark Co Rehab and Living Center and St. Croix Hospice for their excellent care.
