Born on September 24, 1937, in Union City, New Jersey, Joan was the daughter of Eugene Kraszyk and Mary (Rozansky). She grew up in a close-knit family alongside her sisters Maryann Callahan and Madeline Bueckner.
Joan dedicated much of her professional life to education, serving as the Executive Assistant to the principal of Rutherford High School. Her commitment and diligence made her a valued presence within the school community.
Outside of her professional life, Joan found joy in gardening and was known for being a great cook-talents that brought beauty and warmth to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Julius W. Reuter, Jr., with whom she shared many cherished years. Together they raised two children: Julius William Reuter III and Beth M. Evenson, who now carry forward her legacy alongside her husband Kirk Evenson and his fiancé Penni Liechty. Joan also held a special place in her heart for her niece Dayna and friend Steven Falker.
May her memory bring comfort to those she knew and loved.
Family will receive friends Sunday November 23, 2025, from 04:00 PM to 08:00 PM at Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford. Interment Monday gathering 10:30am in front of the funeral home or can meet for 11:00am at Crest Haven Cemetery, 750 Passaic Ave., Clifton.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the American Heart Association.
