Joan E. Robinson

Joan E. Robinson, age 89, of Kimberly, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026. She was born on January 23, 1937.

Joan will be especially remembered for her love of swimming, knitting, reading, telling jokes, and dressing up her ceramic porch goose. She also was known for having a green thumb. Joan loved the Chicago Cubs and traveling in her later years, collecting tea pots along the way. But mostly she can be remembered for the love of her children and grandchildren.

Joan is survived by her children Jon Robinson and his daughter Olivia; Joe (Maureen) Robinson and their sons Jake (Jamie) Robinson and Matt Robinson; Julie (Jeff) Gloudemans and their sons Ben (Johnna) Gloudemans, Rob (Kayla Holst) Gloudemans; Jeanne (Mark) Skinner and their children Trisha (Matt) Nolan and David Skinner; Jim (Megan) Robinson and their daughters Lily and Sophie. Joan was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren and one on the way. She is also survived by her brother, Scott (Diane) Strick; sister-in-law, Debbie Strick; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband Dave Robinson; parents Wilbert and Edna Strick; in-laws, Norman (Red) and Marie Robinson; brother, Thomas and his wife Joyce Strick; brother, George Strick; and brother-in-law Thomas and his wife Jan Robinson.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 13, 2026, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH -- KIMBERLY CHURCH (620 E. Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly) from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. David McElroy, O. Praem officiating. She will be buried in the Parish Cemetery.
