Patrick Glen Rydberg

Patrick Glen Rydberg, age 74, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026. A man of harmony and heart, Pat lived with a positive disposition, always choosing to see the good in everyone he met. Music was the heartbeat of Pat's life. He began his career as a music teacher and found a lifelong community in barbershop harmony. An avid Barbershopper, Pat also shared his talents as a director for a Sweet Adeline Choir, helping others find the beauty in song.

Beyond the music, Pat was known for his dry sense of humor and was always ready with a classic dad joke to lighten the mood. He was also a pillar of strength in the recovery community; he was deeply active in his own journey and took great pride in mentoring several men on their paths to sobriety, offering them unwavering grace and encouragement.

For 54 years, Pat was the devoted husband of Janet Rydberg. He was a loving father to his son, Russell Rydberg (Angie), and his daughter, Rosamond Shulfer (Nick). Above all, Pat adored his five grandchildren: Lilla Birch, Alayna Birch, Maryn Birch, Juniper Rydberg, and Glen Rydberg. To them, he was a source of endless love and gentle humor.

Pat is survived by his three sisters, Billie LaBumbard (Lon), Sally Cutler (Randy), and Trudy Rydberg, as well as his brother, Doug Rydberg (Kay). He was preceded in death by his parents, Flora and Glen Rydberg.

A service to celebrate Pat's life will be held at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 East Main Street, Little Chute, WI 54140). Visitation will be held Friday, March 20, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. His Funeral will follow at 12:00 Noon, with Pastor Lynn Martin officiating.
