Paul Rydberg Obituary
GLENMONT - Paul H. Rydberg, 77, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
Born on November 17, 1948, in Albany, Paul was the son of the late Carl and Georgia (Davis) Rydberg. An Air Force veteran, he honorably served his country from 1968 to 1969. For over 40 years, Paul worked as a mechanic for National Grid. Known as the neighborhood mechanic, he was always tinkering and fixing things, reflecting his lifelong passion for working with his hands.
Paul was a devoted husband to Linda F. (Cioffi) Rydberg; and a loving father to his four sons, Paul, Michael, Thomas (Jennifer), and Matthew (Kassey). He was also a cherished brother to George Rydberg (Jill); and a proud grandfather to Thomas Rydberg Jr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 14, at 10 a.m., at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. A procession to the cemetery will form at 9:15 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Sincere condolences to all the family at this time of sorrow. Paul was a great guy. We were classmates all through grade school at the old St. James Institute, then a coworker at the old Niagara Mohawk. Linda, my old Cardinal McCloskey classmate, I'm so very sorry for your loss. May Paul rest in heavenly peace.
