Joan Saya

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and Nana, Joan Saya, who peacefully left us on October 20, 2025, at the age of 81. While our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that death is not the end but the gateway to eternal life, free from the suffering of this world.
Joan found great joy surrounded by her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She looked forward to hosting Sunday dinners and moments spent at the head of a large table, with family and friends. She never limited her generosity to those within her own home. Her delicious "Sunday love"-packing up styrofoam containers of food for coworkers and neighbors-became a signature act of kindness. She taught us that a simple meal shared is one of life's greatest pleasures and that there is always room for one more at the table. Her memory will live on every Sunday dinner, every shared dessert, and every family gathering.
Joan leaves behind a legacy of deep faith and unwavering perseverance. Even in her most difficult moments, she continued to say, "Thank you, Jesus," a testament to her enduring strength and gratitude. She was an incredibly strong woman whose spirit and example continue to inspire all who knew her. Her life was a reflection of grace, courage, and steadfast faith that will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
She is survived by her loving family, which include her children, Lori (Rob) DiFlorio, Anthony Saya, Jennifer (Jim) Cassella, and John Saya as well as several grandchildren, a brother; two sisters; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
