Joan Lenore Dill Schoelman

Joan Lenore Dill Schoelman, 81, of New Taiton, passed away February 2, 2026. She was born on August 6, 1944 in Palacios to the late Woodrow and Mable Marie Cavallin Dill. Joan was a rural route mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service 32 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Drapela (Tommy) of New Taiton, Sue Dluhos (Maurice) of New Taiton, Patricia Lutringer (Thomas) of El Campo and Brandee Krpec (Chris) of Nada; sons, Tracy Schoelman (Debbie) of Louise and John Schoelman (Donna) of El Campo; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Schoelman; son, Stacey Lee Schoelman; grandson, Clayton Lutringer; great-grandchild, Dean Thomas Drapela; brother, Edwin Earl Dill and half-brother, Cecil Dill.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, February 5 at Triska Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 6 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wade Schoelman, TJ Drapela, Brandon Drapela, Steven Drapela, Ryan Drapela, Chet Dluhos, Jarrett Dluhos, Vincent Lutringer and Marshal Krpec. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Schoelman and Curtis Schoelman.
