Joan Sharon Scriver; of Lapeer, Michigan; passed away on September 24, 2025 at 89 years of age. Joan was a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Joan is the loving wife of the late Donald Scriver Sr with whom she spent 64 years of marriage. Joan is survived by her loving children; Donald Scriver Jr., Suzanne (the late Claude) Oudin, Kathleen (Rex) Baxter, Joni (Rob) Brooks and the late Lori VanMeter. She is also survived by her brother, Tom (the late Anne) Kinch, sisters, twin sister Jean (the late Bob) Jackson, Maureen (the late Jim) Schons and Teresa (Bill) Mason as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Lou Klingler, Paul Kinch, Betty Rutherford, Barbara Christie, and Norma Jean Rabideau and grandson Christopher Scriver.

Joan was a loving caregiver to all and went above and beyond for her family and her dear friends. After her retirement after more than 20 years at St. Joseph Hospital, Joan spent her time as a cashier at Walmart in Lapeer and everyone always knew where her line was because she was quite the people person. She liked to keep busy and never met a stranger.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, 111 East Flint Street, Lake Orion, MI 48362. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Suncrest Auxiliary.
