Joan Spaeth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John F. Givnish Funeral Home - Buckingham on Mar. 17, 2026.
Joan L. Spaeth (née St. Clair), age 79, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Proudly born and raised in Philadelphia from 1946 until 1976. She later moved to Bucks County with her late husband, Matthew P. Spaeth, where they raised four children.

She built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. Joan cherished being a wife, mother, and grandmother, often saying that the best times of her life were the years spent raising her children. Her family often marveled at how she could create wonderful, hearty dishes filled with love and compassion. She found great joy in cooking and preparing meals for those in need. Joan proudly continued traditions from her family roots in Newfoundland and created new traditions with her children and grandchildren.

Her strong Catholic faith guided her through both the joys and hardships of life. Joan was a proud American and a longtime member of the Elks Lodge. Her "sorority sisters" were her confidants and partners in "crime". Some of her happiest times were spent at her shore house, surrounded by family and friends.

Above all, Joan would want to be remembered for the immense love she had for her family and for the lives she touched with her compassion, kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to Christ.

+++++She is survived by her sister Marie St.Clair, children Kristen and Mike Druger, Jeanette Spaeth (deceased), Matthew W. and Abby Spaeth, Heather and Tom Pollock, and her 7 grandchildren - Catharine Ann Spaeth, Jack Michael Druger, Connor William Spaeth, Ryan Timothy Spaeth, Samuel Matthew Pollock, Evelyn Joan Pollock, Jane Josephine Pollock.

Family and friends are invited to Joan's Life Celebration on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 5194 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown, PA 18902.
