Joan R. White

Joan R. White, 90 of Derry, NH, formerly of Atkinson, NH, passed away on Wednesday March 4, 2026.

Joan was born and educated in Lawrence, MA.

She began her work career at New England Telephone. After raising her children, she later worked for Lawrence General Hospital and Jackson Lumber and Millwork Company.

Joan enjoyed camping, traveling, reading and a good card game in the company of friends.

Joan was the daughter of the late Eldon and Rose (McLeod) Atkinson. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Paul White. Her family members include her daughter Paula White of Londonderry, NH, her sons David White and his wife Patricia of Derry, NH and Gary White and his wife Robin of Columbia, SC. She also leaves her grandsons Joshua White and his wife Jessica and their children Lillian and Layla of Londonderry, NH and Michael White and his wife Brittany and their children Benjamin and Delaney of Manchester, NH and her granddaughter Vanessa White of Greenville, SC.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday March 9, 2026 from 9am to 10:30am at the Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11am on Monday at St Joseph Church, 40 Main St, Salem, NH. Burial will be private.
