Joan Gray Williams, 63, of Lenoir went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 while at Lower Cape Fear Life Care Angel House in Whiteville. She was preceded in death by her father, James Albert Armstrong Sr. and her brother, James A. Armstrong Jr. Joan leaves behind her mother, Marjorie Armstrong of Elizabethtown, son Tracy Johnson (Mary) of Hudson, daughter Shanda Johnson of Lenoir, two brothers Jeffrey Armstrong (Tammy) of Elizabethtown, Jacob Armstrong of Elizabethtown, three sisters Loretta Deaver (Teddy) of Elizabethtown, Veronica Daniel (Tommy) of Hope Mills, and Crystal Russ of Elizabethtown, and six grandchildren Malachi Johnson, Austin Johnson, Alexandria Crump, Emily Renteria, Mia and Mya Renteria.Joan was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved dearly and always put her family first. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her sisters and fishing. A Godly woman with a heart of gold that will be missed dearly.There are no services planned at this time.
