Joan Zephir

At 4:30 AM of the 2020 year’s Easter Sunday, Joan Elaine (Immler) Zephir completed her earthly journey, surrounded by her husband and children in her Wilbraham home of 48 years and accompanied her Savior, Jesus, on His memorial resurrection to Heaven. At the time of her departure she and her husband Henry K. Zephir had been married 68 years. Over their first 23 years of marriage they were blessed with 7 children, 5 boys and 2 girls and in later years by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Joan was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, graduated from Seton High School and was married there before moving to Wilbraham. She always loved being a stay at home Mom servicing and supporting constantly her family. Her husband says that he never ever heard her complain about her duties and responsibilities to her family.

On behalf of Joan, the Zephir family would like to take this opportunity to thank their brother Douglas for his loving care and service rendered to her but also to their father over the last five years. They are grateful to Beacon Hospice for the finite care and services provided to her during her final days on this earth.

Due to the Corona virus restrictions, a private funeral will be held with burial in MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will scheduled at a later date and time to be announced. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
