Joanette Reid Estess, 62, of Edgewood, TX, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, in Canton.

Joanette was born on October 13, 1962, in Wills Point, TX, to Howard Pershing Reid and Anna Mae Willingham Reid. She was raised in Edgewood and graduated from Edgewood High School.

In September of 1978, Joanette married Johnny Foster, and together they raised their children. The couple later divorced. On February 14, 2016, she married Tommy Estess, Jr. Joanette worked as the food service supervisor at Edgewood Independent School District for many years before retiring in 2015. She was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church in the Small community. Joanette and Tommy enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, and spending time at the lake.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Estess, Jr. (July 21, 2025); her parents, Howard and Anna Mae Reid; and her sister, Ann Hardin.

Joanette is survived by her children, Lee Foster and wife Katrina of Fruitvale, TX, and Holley Foster and fiancé Damon Williams of Athens, TX; step-daughter, Landi Stewart and husband Nick of Edgewood, TX; grandchildren, Lane Goodson, Bryleigh Goodson, Colton Goodson, Tristan Taylor and wife Caitlyn, Mattie Copeland and husband Matthew, Riley White, and Rorey Stewart; great-grandchildren, Montana Taylor, Cami Taylor, and Tyler Copeland; brothers, Gerald Reid and wife Diane of Edgewood, TX, and Ron Reid and wife Julie of Fort Worth, TX; and sister, Debbie White of Grand Saline, TX.

A memorial service honoring both Tommy and Joanette will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
