JoAnn Daughtry Bell

1940-2026

JoAnn Daughtry Bell was born on August 18, 1940, in Middleburg, Florida, to the late Napoleon P. Daughtry and Vernie Mosley Daughtry. She went to be with her Lord and her husband, Clinton A. Bell on January 17, 2026.

Known as "Mema" to all, JoAnn was a beautiful and kind soul. She loved to laugh and always had a quick wit about her. She poured her heart and soul into providing a loving home for her husband, Clinton and her two sons. JoAnn loved to cook, her specialties being baking and homemade candy. She spent numerous hours each year making her famous Christmas candies as gifts to several family members and friends, who all looked forward to that special gift. JoAnn's grandchildren were the loves of her life.

JoAnn was a lifetime member of the Anchor Church of God in Callahan, Florida. She served alongside her husband as church clerk for many years. JoAnn loved the piano and served as church pianist for years.

JoAnn is survived by her two sons, Clinton Bell, Jr. (Ann) and Terry S. Bell (Donnette); brother, Steve Daughtry; sisters, Jean Reese, Sandra Thompson, Janet McConnell, and Carol Osborne; four grandchildren, Heather Bell Hicks (Blake), Taryn Bell, Taylor Bell, and Debony Johnson (Marty); great grandchildren, Dalton Hicks, Hunter Hicks, Dallas Hicks, Verity Bell, Marvin Johnson, and Mariah Johnson; and numerous nephews and nieces.

The tribute above was prepared by JoAnn's loving family.
