JoAnn Brown, 84, of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at WellStar Tranquility Hospice in Kennesaw, GA. JoAnn was born February 28, 1940, in Blairsville, GA to Mack and Lucille Butt Jordan.
JoAnn was preceded in death by father, Mack Jordan; mother, Lucille Jordan; and husband, Bill Rogers.She is survived by her daughters, Lois (Gilbert) Taylor and Mary Jo (Jared) Baker; grandchildren, Candice (Oscar) Hernandez, Stephen (Bryce Carter) Brown, Christopher Jones, Megan (Cody) Daniel, Kayla (Aaron) Doutrich, Emily Taylor, and Bernard Williams; great-grandchildren, Carina Martin, Jaida Hernandez, Sarah Brown, Bella Carter, Peyton Doutrich, and Wyatt Doutrich. She is also survived by her sister Eloise (Kenny) Cook as well as nieces and nephews.
JoAnn loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved life and was loved by all who knew her. She never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time socializing with people. JoAnn grew up in Blairsville worked in several capacities in the area, but really enjoyed her days working as a butcher at Rogers Food Store. She was a hard worker and enjoyed canning the vegetables from her garden. She enjoyed being outside watching the birds soaking up the sunshine. Her favorite pastimes included traveling, planting flowers and most importantly spending time with family at holiday gatherings. Her pets were very special to her.Funeral Service, on Thursday September 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home-Blairsville Chapel with Ray Potts officiating.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Oran Cook, Cody Daniel, Stephen Brown, Christopher Jones, Oscar Hernadez, and Bernard Williams.Interment will follow at Union Memory Gardens in Blairsville, Georgia.
