Joann Goodenough (Terra), 67, passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side on Monday, September 16, 2024. She was the devoted wife of John J. Goodenough for 41 years before her passing.
Born in Fall River, MA, she was a lifelong Bristol resident and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Almeida) Terra. Raised in Bristol, she graduated from Bristol High School in 1975.
A family woman, her favorite times revolved around her family. Her grandchildren were her world and she enjoyed spending every minute with them. She enjoyed being outside in nature and relaxing in her backyard with her family and friends. She enjoyed riding through Bristol, which she adored and she loved trips to Newport Grand with her friends.
She was a longtime caregiver at Metacom Manor where she was a CNA for many years.
Joann will be remembered by her husband John; her son Joseph J. Goodenough, her daughter in law Michelle L. Goodenough; her grandchildren: Rowan J. Goodenough and Wyatt J. Goodenough; her brother: Joseph Terra, III (Karen); and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was pre-deceased by her parents.
Visiting Hours will be held at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 2:00 PM 4:00 PM.
