Funeral services for JoAnn Harper will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 23, 2025, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Pastor Mike Kellett and Pastor Paul Stephens will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.
JoAnn Harper was born on November 8, 1939, in Monroe, Louisiana, and passed away peacefully in her home on October 18, 2025, in West Monroe, Louisiana. She was a devoted member of White's Ferry Road Church of Christ. She retired as office manager for Dr. Don Irby and was known for her kindness, dedication, and faith. One of her greatest joys was spending Friday nights cheering on the West Monroe Rebels at Rebel Stadium.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Billy Harper; daughter, Ronna Gayle Harper; parents, B.B. and Helen (McGowen) McDonald; and brothers, Marshall McDonald and Doyle McDonald.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Kenneth Harper and wife Rhonda, and Todd Harper; five grandchildren, Rhiannon Edwards, Christopher Harper and wife Mackenzie, Emily Grassi and husband Joseph, Adam Harper, and Amber Posey and husband Heath; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Sherwood McDonald and wife Marsha, and Doug McDonald and wife Martha; along with several nieces, nephews, and many other cherished family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Harper, Adam Harper, Heath Posey, Matt Gates, George Schaeffer, and Tim Dollar.
