JoAnn Hurst

JoAnn Hurst (nee Jones) passed away peacefully on May 23rd, 2023, at the age of 68. She was surrounded by her loving family who are all heartbroken of her sudden passing. JoAnn was a wonderful mother, sister, wife, and grandmother. She was predeceased by Mary Jones, Lester Jones, Robert Jones, Raymond Jones, and Robert Andrew Hurst.
JoAnn was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following her college years, JoAnn embarked on a noble career in nursing, starting at Children's Hospital. With a heart brimming with love, she dedicated herself to caring for the little ones, providing them with comfort and healing. Later on, she transitioned to becoming a nurse for the elderly, extending her nurturing touch to those who needed it most. It takes a special person, like JoAnn, to embrace the needs of both children and the elderly, and she did so with grace and tenderness.
Anyone who had the privilege of knowing JoAnn would unanimously agree that she was an absolute sweetheart. She possessed an extraordinary ability to see the innate goodness in everyone, never once looking down on another soul. Her genuine care for people knew no bounds. Even during her final moments, lying on her deathbed, JoAnn's first concern was for others. She selflessly asked, "How are you doing?"-a testament to her unwavering compassion and thoughtfulness.
Her family wishes they had more time with her and her infectious laughter. The mere act of JoAnn laughing and smiling had the power to illuminate her entire being. We are happy she is at peace and take comfort that she has joined the rest of her family in friends in heaven.
JoAnn is survived by husband Scott, daughters Amy and Leslie, son Samuel, and grandsons Diehlian and Rolland.
