Joann R. Janc (Campos), 79, of Grand Island passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. There is a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at All Faiths Funeral Home followed by a rosary at 7.

Joann was born on December 26, 1945, in St. Paul, Nebraska, the daughter of Raymond and Effie (Allen) Janc.

She graduated from Grand Island Senior High, class of 1962. On January 2, 1965, Joann married Benny Campos. There were three daughters born to this union, Monica, Ruddene and Tonya.

Joann was an excellent seamstress, sewing most of the girl's clothes when they were young. She also liked to read and in later years, play games on her phone. She especially enjoyed visiting, whether it was friends or family; she always lit up when her beloved grandchildren stopped by.

Those who cherish Joann's memory include her life partner, Benny Campos; her daughters and their husbands, Monica and Daniel Reilly, Ruddene and Wayne Kanter, and Tonya and Bubba Baker; and her grandchildren, Emma (Vincent) Killpack, Benjamin Reilly (Tawna Lanckriet), John Reilly (Molli Turek), Anthony Kanter (Karol Redinger), and Brady Baker.

She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Just; brothers, Bill Janc and Jim Janc; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, John Dale Janc.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
