JoAnn McBride Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 14, 2019.
Jo Ann McBride, 55, passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. She was born on October 20th, 1963 in Mountain Home Idaho. She is the daughter of Frank and Arcelia Herrera.

Being in a military family she lived in several locations, Japan being her most memorable. They finally settled in Tucson in 1971.

She then attended Santa Rita High School in Tucson and graduated in 1982.

She is the wife of Sean McBride, whom they shared 28 years of marriage together.

She loved nothing more than being with her family, which meant the world to her. One of her most recent joys was becoming a grandmother. She loved animals, volunteering, and helping others, she was a lover of music, an avid concert-goer, and a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan and Maleficent fan, she also enjoyed spending her downtime crafting.

She will forever be remembered for her sense of humor and being able to make people laugh. She was always a child at heart, and one of her favorite sayings was "I'm never gonna grow up!"

She is survived by husband Sean, daughter Arcelia, son Geoff, son-in-law Steven and granddaughter Hannah. As well as father and mother Frank and Arcelia, mother-in-law Wilma, father-in-law Joel, brothers Frank, Tony, and Joe as well as numerous nieces and nephews along with their families as well.

She was a beautiful soul and will be forever loved and forever missed

The family hates to use the term "in lieu of flowers" they are welcome and appreciated but after a family discussion we would request that instead a memorial contribution in her name be made to "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital" it was JoAnn's favorite place to donate and a personal one at that because of her own battle with cancer, in her exact words she would say, "No child should have to have cancer, nobody should, but especially a child."

My dear sweet daughter in law: This is so hard to write, I miss you so much, I will always treasure the memories of things we shared. Our love for animals, our road trips, craft nights, and family gatherings. You were always the one to plan family dinners, birthday and holiday celebrations, always trying to take care of everybody and be sure everyone was happy. You were always willing to help out anyone in need young and old, you loved and treasured your family above all. I will always miss you baby girl. You were so brave and you fought so hard. RIP.
Love "Mama" LaDuc

My Beautiful loving Wife. We met in 1985 when I was a skinny 17 year old kid and you were so beautiful. Looking back I don't know what you saw in me but you loved me and for that I am forever grateful to you. I thank God every day for you and miss you more than words can ever express. We shared 35 wonderful years together and you gave me 2 beautiful children which I love with all my heart. I don't know what tommorow will bring and I can't imagine it without you by my side, but I know you will always be with me and I am looking forward to the day we see each other again. I love you and miss you so much baby. Love Always and Forever, Sean

My wife and I had three wonderful boys. I also wanted a girl. On October 20 1963, little did I know that my wish would be granted on that day. I remember the nurse approaching me where I was waiting and asked me to sit down. Thinking the worse, she said my wife told her to tell me to sit down because I always wanted a little girl. I never realized what a gift God had given me until I slowly watched her grow up. Spoiled, but a happy child she grew up to be the woman we all seek, Loving, helpful and never refusing to help anyone regardless of their problem. She was my right hand, who I was always suffering from different health problems, she was always there to take care of me. I remember on several Doctor visits she would not allow me to go by myself. Her reason was because the knew I would never tell the Doctor everything. Regardless of the time during emergencies she would always be there when called. Even the Paramedics got to know her by name. I and her mother will miss her, but she will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. God let us enjoy her and love her for 55 years of her life on this earth. Now we can continue that love knowing that she is rid of her pain and with all the rest of Gods children in heaven.

My beautiful friend...what are we gonna do without you? Whos gonna be the adult in our crazy trio now? Who am I kidding, none of us were the adult! But nevertheless, I hate to see you go. You have been the best friend anyone could ever ask for. You loved with everything in you and were always there for me in good times and bad. I love you so much. XOXO
