JoAnn Offutt

Albany, Oregon resident, Mrs. Jo Ann Offutt, 70, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, OR. Jo Ann was born March 20, 1955 to John Lincoln & Marie (Nicholson) Shafer in Doe Run, Missouri. She moved to Oregon in 1970 and had lived in Sweet Home, Brownsville and Woodburn. Jo Ann worked as a CNA travelling nurse for 46 years. She had taken some time off to obtain her AA degree from Linn Benton Collete in 1990 before returning to be a nurse until retiring in 1994. Jo Ann was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Sweet Home, OR. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her father in 1959, her mother in 2009 and brothers, James & Bobby Nicholson and Danny Williams. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Allen Offutt of Toledo, OR; son and daughter in-law, Rick and April Mills of Toledo, OR; son Kenneth Hassenger of NC; granddaughter Megan Ward of Hobbsville, NC; grandson, Brandon Richards of Blodgett, OR; great grandson, Emmet Ward of Hobbsville, NC; expecting one more great grandchild; great granddaughter, Frankie Mae Turner of Redmond, OR and nephew Joey Williams of Lebanon, OR. A celebration of Jo Ann's life will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Full Gospel Church, 2331 Main St, Sweet Home, OR 97386. Pastor Thomas Grenz will officiate. Arrangements were cared for by the Bateman Funeral Home.
