JoAnn Price

August 21, 1936 – July 14, 2025

Seven Springs-JoAnn Grady Price, 88, of Atlas Price Road, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at her home.

JoAnn was born on August 21, 1936 in Wayne County to the late Pauline Kilpatrick Grady and Willie Grady. JoAnn grew up in Seven Springs. She graduated from Seven Springs High School and achieved her nursing and anesthetist degrees. JoAnn was a career Nurse Anesthetist, working in various hospitals in NC until her retirement back to Seven Springs. Her joy was found in her gardening, achieving Master Gardener status; creations in stained glass and her service through various international mission trips. JoAnn was a member of Zion Methodist Church in Pricetown, NC.

A graveside service to celebrate JoAnn's life will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery, Seven Springs. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Pineview Cemetery Fund, 2078 Zion Church Road, Mt. Olive, NC 28365.

JoAnn was married to the late Burtrell Graham Price Sr. She is survived by son, Burtrell Graham Price Jr. and wife, Lisa of Elizabeth City, daughter-in-law Pam Price of Elizabeth City; granddaughter Tara Hunter and husband Jason of Chesapeake, VA; sister Eula Rose Crawford of Asheboro, NC; and niece Terri Kirkland. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery "Clint" Price and niece Janice Hill.
