Troy- Joann M. Rhoads, 72, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 with her loving family by her side. Joann was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Patti. Joann was the devoted wife to Randall A. Rhoads. They were married 43 years.
Joann loved to go to the concerts at Powers Park during the summer. She enjoyed bowling, listening to music, watching her movies on DVD, plus watching TV. She worked as a housekeeper at the Eddy, Holiday Inn downtown Troy and the Century House to name a few.
In addition to her husband, Randall, Joann is survived by her sons, Dominick (Adria) Marra, and Stephen (Sheena) Rhoads, grandchildren, Michael Jr., his mother, Joan Ciccarelli, Daunte Marra, Stephen Jr., Anthony Rhoads, step sons, Dillon and Tyler, great grandchild Winter Rose. brother Peter (Renee) Patti, her Aunt Vivian, nieces, Tina (Michael) Pafundi, Terry (Charlie) Murray, brother-in-law, Herbert Baxter, nephews, and many loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Joann is predeceased by her son, Michael Sr., Joann's sister, Rosann (Patti) Baxter and many others.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Saturday April 26, 2025 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday April 26, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rensselaer County Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144 and Anchor Home Care for all of the care and compassion given to Joann and her family.
