Joann Rickley

Joann Rickley passed away on September 12, 2024, at Desert Willows Nursing Facility in Las Cruces, NM. She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Rickley, and mother, Barbara Davis, of Las Cruces. She is preceded in death by her son, Chad Rickley, and father, William Davis.
Joann had a master's degree in nursing, and over the years held important as the Nursing Director in Charge of operating rooms at Stanford Univ. Hospital, Univ of San Francisco Hospital, and Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. She had written and presented important medical papers for medical conventions and had the honor of being part of the outstanding medical team which preformed the first heart transplant in New Mexico.
She was a life – long loving person to one and all, and her many relatives and friends will dearly miss her presence in their own lives. She could fill a room with her warmth and great joy for living. She was always enthusiastic and generous to family and friends and even helped finance nursing school for young friends who wanted to become nurses but couldn't afford the tuition. She will be sorely missed by one and all.
Servies are to be held Tuesday the 24th at 2:30pm at La Paz Graham's Funeral Home (555 W. Amador).The prayer service will start at 3:00pm. Food and fellowship to follow at La Posta.
