JoAnn Worth (Sims), a beloved mother, grandmother to the highest degree, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Williams, Oregon, on February 10, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on April 12, 1936, in Kansas City, Kansas, JoAnn spent her early years in the city of San Francisco, California, before moving to San Carlos as a teenager and attending Sequoia High School.
In San Carlos, she met the love of her life, Richard Worth, and together they shared an incredible 72 years of marriage, creating a beautiful life and family. After living in Redwood City, California, JoAnn and Richard eventually made their way to Williams, where they enjoyed a peaceful retirement.
JoAnn was known for her active involvement in her community, contributing her time and energy to numerous local organizations, including the Good News Club and Vacation Bible School at the Williams Community Church, where she took part in many other events. Each year, she would channel her knitting skills by making hats for children in need for Hat Day. Her warmth and generosity will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
JoAnn was preceded in death by Richard Worth, her loving husband, and her granddaughter, Sherry Anne Worth. She is survived by her brother, David Sims of California; her children, Rick Worth of Williams, Oregon, Bob Worth of Fremont, California, Patti Kramer of Williams, Oregon, and Ron Worth of Williams, Oregon; her grandchildren, James Kramer of Williams, Oregon and Mary Kramer of Williams, Oregon; her eight great-grandchildren; nineteen great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
