She was my 4th grad teacher at Shawnee Elementary in Graham. Through my years of schooling I only had a couple of favorites and Mrs. Garvey was one of them. I still think of her often and how beautiful she was and the amazing way she taught her students. She had such a captivating personality that made us want to learn and do our best. She also had a wonderful way of teaching lessons about life in general. She will never be forgotten and I am saddened to hear of her passing. God bless her.
