Joanna is survived by her adoring family and her loving parents; Eduardo Tapia and Maria Rodriguez, her larger than life brother; Eduardo (Marilyn Sanchez) Tapia, the sun to her moon little sister; Cynthia Tapia, her cherished abuelos: Javier Tapia and Adela Ramos, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, preceded in death by her abuelos; Antonio Rodriguez & Reina Camacho.
Visitation will be held 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, January 19, 2026 at the Symonds Lakes Funeral Home 111 W. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL, 60030, funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the Saint Peter's Catholic Church of Volo 27551 Volo Village Rd. Volo, IL 60073, with Interment to follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL, the family requests donations in c/o the Tapia family for a future memorial in Joanna's name, for additional information please contact the funeral home at 847-543-1080
