Our beloved Joanne Rogers Baudean, age 81, of Terrytown, Louisiana, gained her heavenly wings on October 11, 2025, surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.
Joanne lived a life full of love, laughter, and compassion. She dedicated over 30 years as a social worker with Family and Welfare Services, where she helped and cared for countless families in their times of need. Outside of work, Joanne loved spending time with her friends at the Waggaman Social Club, trying her luck at the casino, and most of all, being surrounded by her family. She was happiest when she was laughing, cooking, or simply sitting and talking with the people she loved most.
Joanne was preceded in death by her mother, Nora Durapau Daigle; father, Cyrus Rogers; stepfather, Joseph (Peewee) Daigle; and her beloved son, Troy Baudean.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Herman Baudean Jr.; loving son, Darren (Beau) Baudean and his wife Evelyn; cherished daughter-in-law, Roxann Baudean; and sister, Dianna Reed. She was the proud grandmother of Ashley (Phillip) Jones and Brittany (Michael) Sparacina, and adored great-grandmother to Troy Jones, Landon Jones, Brycen Billiot, Saige Sparacina, and Brantley Sparacina.
To know Joanne was to love her. She was strong, caring, and always had a way of making everyone around her feel special. Her laughter filled every room, and her love will forever fill our hearts.
Though we will miss her deeply, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loved ones in heaven, watching over us with the same warmth and love she shared every day of her life.
