Joanne C. Hart Obituary
Joan Hart passed away on May 9, 2024, following a stroke and a brief illness. Joan was born January 14, 1950, to Charles and Martha Schell in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. She attended school in Sturgeon Bay and Kewaunee WI and was a 1968 graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School. Joan was married February 27, 1971, to John Hart in Sturgeon Bay. They lived in Sturgeon Bay, except for a short time in Idaho Springs Colorado, before moving to Appleton in 1989. Joan worked for several different health related companies prior to retiring in 2015. The biggest joy of her life was family and she was especially pleased by her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
She was a kind-hearted lady who enjoyed interacting with the people who were her clients and friends. She also always enjoyed celebrating the Holiday seasons especially Christmas.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Martha Schell and a brother-in-law Donald Mraz. She is survived by her husband John Hart of Appleton; her daughters: Jennifer L. Hart and Amy L. Hart, her grandchildren Ethan J. Hart, Alexandria J. Hart, Delvin D. Carter, and Emma Hart all of Appleton; and great-grandchildren Myda Hart, Daniel Hart, Preston Rekoski, Delilah Hart and Kali Hart all of Appleton. She is further survived by a brother Charles Schell and his wife Kathy both of Salt Lake City Utah, a sister Carol Mraz of Forestville, Wisconsin, and a brother Michael Schell and his wife Julie of Ellison Bay, Wisconsin.
Joan left everyone she knew with many good memories and departed far too soon. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Please join us on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home - Tri County Chapel, located at 1592 Oneida Street in Fox Crossing. There we will gather to share memories, tell stories, and celebrate Joanne's time with us.
She will be buried at Bayside Cemetery in Sturgeon Bay on August 15, 2024.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed to the Fox Valley Memory Project.
