JoAnne Culler Capen, a beloved mother, devoted grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. She was born in Delta, Ohio, in 1935 and lived a life filled with warmth, generosity, and love for others.

For many years, JoAnne made Palm City, Florida, her home, where her greatest love story unfolded with her husband, Robert "Bob" Capen. Though she was predeceased by her beloved Bob in 1986, her radiant spirit and unwavering kindness continued to shine brightly for all who knew her. JoAnne had a great talent for arts and crafts and was a gifted cook and natural hostess. She loved bringing people and family together through good food and laughter. One of JoAnne's favorite places was spending time in Maggie Valley, North Carolina.

JoAnne is lovingly remembered by her three sons and their wives-Dan & Sandy Capen, Doug & Marilyn Capen, and Jeff & Kim Capen-and by her seven treasured grandchildren: Christie, Kevin, Kelly, Brittney, Kayla, Katie, and Chloe Capen. She is also survived by her brother, Al Culler, his wife, Linda, and their children and grandchildren. Later in life, JoAnne shared companionship and happiness with Robert Croom, who also predeceased her.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.

A graveside closed casket service for close family and friends will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 SE County Line Rd, Tequesta, FL 33469.
