Joanne Fletcher Obituary

Joanne graduated from Sumner High School in 1954. She enjoyed a career at the Board of Public Utilities, where she worked until her retirement in 1997.
Joanne accepted Christ at a young age and remained steadfast in her faith. She was a member of Strangers Rest Baptist Church in Kanasas City, where she served as an usher. Upon relocating to Plano, Texas, to be closer to her daughter, she joined North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship and later united with Amity Bible Church.
Among many hobbies, Joanne loved to travel and was an outstanding cook. She was a true queen with a memorable "diva" presence to all who crossed her path. Her kind nature will be fondly remembered, and her loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dianne Richardson; and son, Leroy Washington, Jr. Those left to cherish lasting memories include her beloved daughter, Robin Rollins; sister, Norma Robinson; sister, Marlene Draffen; grandson, Kenneth B. Jarvis III; granddaughter, Denise Fink; grandson, Darren Marks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
