Joanne Andrew Henry on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, and Angel of God whispered in Joanne’s ear and said faithful servant welcome home at the age of 71. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Houston, TX. Joanne was educated in the Orleans Parish Public School System, and she was employed as a certified nursing assistant. Longtime companion of the late Patrick Lawhorn. Loving mother of Swanika (Robert) Murray, Tamika (Charles) Darden, and the late Larry “DoDo” Henry. Daughter of the late Edward Andrew, Sr. and Josephine Beaulieu Andrew. Sister of Marilyn (Larry, Sr.) Barabino, Don (Sharon) Andrew, Sr., and the late Carroll Martin, Emma Andrew Harrison, and Edward Andrew, Jr., also survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Holy Anointed House of Prayer, also priest and parishioners of St. Raymond, St. Leo the Great Catholic Churches, and all neighboring churches; members of The Original Big Seven on the other side Social and Pleaseure Club, and all other Social and Pleasure Clubs are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Holy Anointed House of Prayer 1447 Senate St. New Orleans, LA on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
