Joanne Lassoni

Joanne Lassoni (née Kitrys), 65, of East Rutherford, who grew up in Lodi, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 28, 2024, after battling blood cancer. Beloved daughter of the late Robert "Skeets" Kitrys and late Carlotta Kitrys and loving sister to Rhonda Hochman and Bobby Kitrys. Devoted mother of Karen Lassoni Cantor and her husband Jason, son Christopher Lassoni and his fiance Jessica. Fun loving grandmother and "Nana Jo" to Riley Cantor. Loving aunt of Asher Hochman and Robert Kitrys.
Joanne worked for the Bergen County Surrogate Court for over 20 years as a probate clerk and was enjoying recent retirement. She grew up playing sports and continued to play softball into her 50s alongside her daughter.
Joanne always prioritized her family and kids and was a cat lover her whole life. She enjoyed spoiling her only granddaughter Riley with unlimited presents, cartoons, ice cream, and pastina. Joanne was a lover of all animals, especially her four cats Benjamin, Zippy, Mia and Miley. She avidly enjoyed doing house projects and was the go to handy woman of the family. Her go-getter and positive spirit to the end will be terribly missed. May her memory be a blessing and live on in the love and lessons she taught her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday April 8, 2024, 9:00 am at Di Chiara Funeral Home, 300 Main St., Lodi then to Church of the Sacred Heart in Rochelle Park for a 10:00 am Memorial Mass pm followed by a repast at Lassoni Restaurant, 602 Ridge Road, North Arlington.
