Joanne E. Mathianas

Joanne E. Eiduke Mathianas, age 94 of Brownsville, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 in Mon Valley Care Center. She was born September 18, 1931 in Charleroi, PA daughter of the late Joseph Eiduke and Anna Puzas Eiduke. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth and sister Carol Fontanazza.

Joanne loved her family. Left to cherish Joanne's memory are her children, Kenny Jo (Karen), Kevin, Shawn (Karen), Marcia Wood (Dan), Eric (Donna), Melanie (Chico Abadejos, deceased), Melissa, Heather Collins (Tim) and Rachel (Pat), special nephew, John Osborne as well as grandchildren, Joshua (Donn), Sarah, Miranda, Arianna, August (Dayanne), Emma and John and Eileen (deceased) and great grandchildren, Tatiana, Ethan, Owen, Avery, Jayme and Layla.

Joanne was a graduate of Charleroi High School. She treasured her home, enjoyed the beach, reading, cooking, gardening and knitting. She worked at the Baby's Nook and was a volunteer at Brownsville General Hospital.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA. As requested by Joanne, there will be no visitation. A service will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, where she will be buried alongside her husband, on February 23, 2026 at 12:30 PM.
